IF YOU’RE FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO APPRECIATE AND MAXIMIZE LIFE, IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE YOU’VE NEVER ATTENDED AN INTERMENT.
It’s quite funny that despite our various exposures, a lot of us are still struggling to catch up with some dimensions of wisdom and this is because we have not been exposed to a situation where such wisdom can be gleaned, we think we know what life is ALL about but our actions betray our claims for we are yet know as we ought to know. Of a truth,
ALL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT LIFE IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT A LESSON AT THE HOUSE OF MOURNING (Death).
I marveled when I saw in the wisdom of God that ‘The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning…’ This means that a wise man longs to be in the house of mourning and the reason why is because there is wisdom in the house of mourning; there are struggles in our life that seeing a man buried will put an end to, there are fears that nothing can take out of us but the sight of a known person committed to the grave,
the death of the living has the power to awaken what is dead in the living.
There is something about loss, it impacts into the human soul the wisdom to gain and retain what is gained. The loss of life impacts into the human soul the value of life, no wonder the heart of the wise longs for the house of mourning; in the house of mourning wisdom is impacted. I was humbled when I heard Dr Myles Monroe say ‘my greatest motivation is death’ my heart leaped for joy for mine too is death. This means death has the power to make the life of a man effective and efficient, that’s why being at the house of mourning is a thirst in the heart of a wise man.
I charge you dear reader to add the house of mourning to your place to be for this year, wisdom awaits you there.
