TEN REASONS WHY I WILL PRAISE GOD TODAY & ALWAYS (Part II)

Ps 34:1-3

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. KJV

6. I WILL PRAISE GOD BECAUSE I HAVE A PLACE PREPARED FOR ME:

Jesus speaks in John 14:1-3.1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. KJV

So I refuse to be intimidated by the mansions and the estates of men that have no place in heaven. Should there be fire outbreak, tornadoes, flood or hurricane Katrina, surely they will lose their mansions. But for me I have a place prepared for me in heaven. A house not built with hands-God himself is the builder: the streets are made of gold; there is no need for electricity there, Jesus himself is the light. In that city, no security problem, no hunger, no failed or failing democracy, no terrorist, no jihadist, no fuel crisis, no global melt-down. Everything is perfect. Oh how I wait for that day when I would be called up to that city. He says in his word:

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:13-17 KJV

This world is not my home, I am just passing through
My treasures are laid down, somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
And I cannot feel at home in this world any more

Oh Lord you know, I have no friend like you
if heaven is not my home, then Lord what shall I do?
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
and I cannot feel at home in this world any more

 

7. I WILL PRAISE GOD BECAUSE I HAVE VICTORY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST:

The Bible says 1 John 5:4-5 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Rev 12:10-11

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. KJV

So it does not matter the roaring of the lion, I am a winner, I am a victor. I conquered satan, demons, principalities and power… and I can sing

Have you heard what the Lord has done…?
He has destroyed the works of Satan
He has given us the vic-tory
That’s why we sing …………………

 

8. I WILL PRAISE GOD BECAUSE IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS I HAVE A CERTAIN HOPE:

I know everything may not be rosy for me. There are challenges in life. The challenges are diverse and many. Yet he remains true. His Word says

Hab 3:17-19
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

In the midst of uncertainty, I have a certain hope and thus I can sing

When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea-billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
“It is well, it is well with my soul.”

Refrain:

It is well with my soul,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. KJV

 

9. I WILL PRAISE GOD BECAUSE FOR ME IT IS FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER

His word is very clear about my destiny. For me there shall be no better yesterday.  Prov 4:18 is very clear about my destiny. It says … But the path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. KJV

So I can sing with faith:

Because he lives, I can face tomorrow
because he lives, all fear is gone
because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

 

10. I WILL PRAISE GOD BECAUSE ONE DAY I SHALL BE GLORIFIED

I will sing today because I know what is waiting for me at the end of this earthly journey is not shame but glory. He has in his mind to glorify me. I am meant for glory which he has planned from the foundation of the world. His Word is very clear.

Rom 8:29-30 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. KJV

On that day, the trumpet shall be blown; the roll call will be taken for people to be honoured, to be crowned, to be glorified -people like Abraham, like David, like Paul, Peter, all the apostles of old, fathers and the mothers of our faith would be there and by His grace and mercy I will stand in the line, I will be there. So today I can sing, I can declare,

When the trum-pet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morn-ing breaks, e-ter-nal, bright, and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gath-er o-ver on the oth-er shore.
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Refrain:

I’ll be there.
