Dan 11:32b Rom. 1:16-17, 1Cor 1:24 2:1-2, 15:3-4 Gal. 1:6-9, 3:1-2.
Though we don’t know how the drug was made, with what it was made, where it was made, by whom it was made and we sometimes don’t bother to check when it was made, as long as it is prescribed to us by a medical professional, we just go ahead and follow the prescriptions. Though the drug making process we do not understand, we still go ahead to use it because we trust him who told us to and the simplicity of the prescriptions made it easy for us to use it rightly. What saves lives is very difficult to make but easy to use, though the production processes are very complex, the prescriptions are very simple.
If man will make whatever will save lives easy to know, will God do less? Christ went through the worst of pain to save us, why do you now think He will make the application process difficult to comprehend, if the application process is difficult to understand, the strenuous production process will be a waste of time. Though difficult to make, it is easy to use… Glory. The gospel is the Power of God to save, it is therefore very easy to comprehend and understand, the Gospel is no longer a mystery, it is a revealed mystery the refusal to see this truth is the reason why many remained unsaved.
The truth dear reader is that there is no greater wisdom than the Truth -Jesus Christ who is God’s wisdom. Let’s stop being too wise that we see the gospel as too simple and crude to save us.
The gospel is not the seminars topics we love to hear, it is not the marriage teachings we love to listen to, it is not even theology or demonology or typology or eschatology, it is not the business tips, investment know-hows, it is not science, nor history or trends or current affairs, it is that Christ resurrected to save us from sin, it’s that simple.
Do you realize that the epistles is the revelation of Christ, check out all the places where the apostles preached in the scriptures and see that their message was all about Christ, have you read of the mystery of godliness in 1Timothy 3:16? Do you see any teaching about ethics, etiquette, or whatever? The truth be told, does it not seem boring sometimes when all a preacher has to say is that Christ resurrected? Don’t we feel more alive when we have before us a preacher who in minutes has taken us through the economic details of the world?
OUR FAILURE IS IN OUR THIRST FOR MORE THAN THE WISDOM OF GOD.
The wisdom and power of God is Christ, that’s all. Any other thing that we preach apart from Christ is void of God’s power and wisdom. Despite our deliverance and demonology teachings, many are still oppressed; our meetings for singles has changed nothing either, marriage seminars has only filled our heads and not transformed our homes, how many rich men has our business seminars produced too, what of our teachings on being social, has it made us a better Christian? Dear preacher, let’s preach the Gospel, it will produce is us all that the Father desires.
ALL THAT WE NEED TO KNOW IS CHRIST AND NOTHING ELSE, ALL THAT GOD HAS TO GIVE US IS IN CHRIST, IN NO OTHER KNOWLEDGE CAN WE OBTAIN GOD’S BLESSINGS BUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST.
Being wiser than God- the wisest makes nothing of us but fools,
THE WISDOM AND POWER OF GOD IS A PERSON, NOT A TOPIC, A MATTER, NOT AN ISSUE OR A SUBJECT,
the Holy Spirit is to confirm God’s word -Jesus Christ with signs following, our meetings have been void of the operations of the Holy Spirit because we’ve not been preaching Christ, oh for the Grace of our lord, that our eyes may indeed be single. Amen.
